The house was nicely kept, and during my two years the kitchen was repainted. Simon valued our opinion on the colour which made the house feel far more homely. I was particularly grateful to Simon and Suzanne for being so accommodating when I asked to stay another night in the house after the contract ended due to Covid-19 isolation, despite an already tight turn around to prepare the house for the incoming students. It is rare to come across landlords who genuinely care for the students in their properties so I would recommend 56 Crossways to anyone!"

"I lived at 56 Crossways for my third year and had the best experience! The house itself is in an ideal location, right on the bus route and great for both campuses, and it always felt really safe, even when I lived there alone over summer. The large living room and kitchen were also great for getting together with friends and as a house, which made a massive difference from my much smaller house previously by enabling a social atmosphere.
As a landlord, Simon is extremely attentive and is always on call if you have any issues or concerns. He made it easy to pay rent on time by reminding us before the due date. He was also incredibly involved in maintaining the high standards of the house and ensuring our wellbeing during this difficult year. I’m sure future tenants would have just as great an experience as we did!"

We could not recommend Simon and Suzanne as landlords enough. During the years we rented our home with them they were friendly and helpful and always treated us with respect. Any needed repairs or maintenance requests were fixed quickly and efficiently and where external contractors were used - for decorating, gas safety inspections etc. - care was taken to ensure that these visits fitted around our schedules. They were always professional, fair and approachable and we very much appreciated their care and diligence.

The landlord is great and very helpful. If you have any problems they are sorted quickly. We have a WhatsApp group with Simon and Suzanne, so it is easy to communicate and works well. We had a problem with the dryer and it was sorted quickly, within a couple of days. We needed new blinds and even during the lockdown they were sorted for us from Dunelm Mill. There is always a quick response to any questions or issues. We just say when we have a problem and they have always been sorted very quickly.
The heating in the house is good – there is a thermostat to control the heat and the individual radiators can be turned on or off easily. It is always nice and warm here and bills are included.
The broadband is good and very quick too.

"Living at 56 Crossways for 2 years was a great renting experience! Simon and Suzanne did their best to help and support us when necessary and the location of the house is convenient for students at the University of York and is close to bus stops to get into York city centre.
The house itself is spacious and well kept, with up to date appliances. New carpets were fitted and the living room was repainted to give a fresher and more modern feel.
Overall I would highly recommend renting with Simon and Suzanne as they are attentive, easy to contact, friendly and care about their tenants!"
